Keeping the Community Informed on the Budget Process

Last month the Board of Education presented its local budget request to the Orange County Board of Commissioners. The local budget requires an increase in the local per pupil expenditure. The majority of this increase is directly attributed to mandated cost increases, anticipated loss of grant funds, and the opening of Northside Elementary School. We are recommending additional funding to lower
